2024 Annual Convention - May 15-18, 2024

Each spring, the Alabama League of Municipalities hosts its Annual Convention and Expo providing timely general and concurrent sessions, access to municipal vendors and state agencies as well as outstanding networking opportunities for municipal officials and employees. This multi-day event is the largest event hosted by the League and is carefully planned to maximize the time and attention of attendees. League leadership is also elected each year at the Annual Business Session held during Convention.

Convention attendees, please note, we have heard your suggestions and are changing the format for Friday evening, May 17.  We are excited to announce this year’s President’s Dinner will include an upscale plated meal (dual entree of steak and chicken) and open bar from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Participation in the President's Dinner will require you to purchase a ticket during your convention pre-registration. Dinner tickets are $50 for attendees and $50 for guests. Dinner tickets will NOT be available during on-site registration.  

At 8 p.m. ALL REGISTERED convention attendees, including those who did not purchase a ticket for dinner, are invited to attend the closing entertainment portion of the conference as we dance to the tunes of Atlanta Groove Factory. This 12-piece party band electrifies every audience with a combination of high-energy songs from the past and the hits of today.

Registration for Municipal Officials:
$425 from February 15 through April 12
$525 from April 13 through onsite registration

Guest Registration:
$50 (non-refundable)
*Guests are considered as any individual who is not a municipal or public official, not affiliated with vendor companies and have no professional reason to attend the convention. The cancellation policy listed below applies to guests.

President's Dinner Ticket Purchase:
$50 (non-refundable) (attendees and guests MUST be registered for the convention to purchase a dinner ticket)
*This meal option must be purchased during registration, per person. Tickets will not be available for purchase onsite.

Please note:
Any cancellation(s) prior to April 13 will result in a $25 cancellation fee. Any cancellation(s) beginning on April 13 through May 10, 2024 will result in a 50% charge of the full registration fee. After May 10, no refunds will be issued. The same policy applies to those who have registered without pre-payment.

Once you have completed your convention registration, a confirmation email will be sent to you with a hotel reservation link to book your hotel. You will then receive a hotel confirmation email.  Keep in mind that if you register on behalf of someone else, the person being registered/attendee will receive the hotel reservation link email.

The President's Dinner menu includes a classic Caesar salad, a dual entree of filet of beef and a stuffed chicken breast served with herbed risotto, roasted asparagus and key lime pie. Beverage options will be water, tea, beer and wine.
